 Tilsatec is a division of Sirdar Spinning Limited, based in West Yorkshire. The company, founded in 1880, is situated on a 16-acre site at the heart of the UK’s textile manufacturing region.

Rhino™ range
The Rhino™ range of gloves and sleeves is designed to provide a broad range of protective solutions for many industrial sectors including automotive, assembly, glass, metal fabrication and the food industry.
Rhino materials are engineered to provide a step change improvement in cut resistance and are available in a wide range of structures, finishes and coatings to enable the most appropriate materials to be selected to match a specific threat or hazard.
Manufactured on site in West Yorkshire using proprietary yarn technology, the Rhino™ yarn was recognised with a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the Innovation category in 2006. HRH Princess Anne visited Tilsatec to present the award and formally open Tilsatec’s newest manufacturing facility in September 2006.

Rhino™ Workwear is an innovative range of industrial apparel, providing options for protection against mechanical hazards, heat, flame, welding spark, molten metal splash and electrostatic discharge.
Designed and manufactured to the highest standards of quality and performance, options are also available for bespoke sizing and styling with short delivery lead times.
Engineered Materials and Technical Textiles
Tilsatec have a broad spectrum of manufacturing capabilities and provide engineered materials to a range of diverse sectors such as aerospace, telecommunications and transportation.
Marlin™ is a multi-functional fabric composite designed to provide electric arc and thermal protection in high hazard wet weather environments.
Camel™ is a superabsorbent yarn for active water blocking and moisture management and is widely used in the power and telecommunication cable-manufacturing sector.
Tilsatec also have specific expertise in the design and manufacture of hybrid yarns with a range of reinforcing fibres for use in a variety of composite forming and manufacturing processes.

Tilsatec are well positioned to offer an efficient and rapid delivery service provided by an extensive 10,000ft2 warehousing and distribution facility based on the same site as the manufacturing plant.
