Materials for Foul Weather and Electric Arc Protection
Marlin is an engineered fabric composite providing superior levels of personal protection in foul weather conditions. This material has been designed to be water repellent and highly impermeable to water penetration, whilst still retaining water vapour permeability, providing comfort and breathability. In addition personal protection is enhanced by by the inclusion of permanent flame and electric arc resistance. Marlin materials will not melt or drip when exposed to flame, arc or welding spark hazards.
MARLIN will meet the requirements of the following international standards:
European
ENV 343 – Protective Clothing Against Foul Weather class 3: water impermeability (>13 kPa) class 3: water vapour permeability (<20m2Pa/W)
ENV 50354 Protection against electric arc hazards : Class 2 (7 kA)
USA ASTM F1891-02b (Standard Specification for Arc and Flame Resistant Rainwear)
